How to Access DirecTV DVR When Shut Off
DirecTV is one of the leading satellite television providers. Customers can access programming from any location that provides a clear line of site to the DirecTV satellites. DirecTV offers various types of receivers to watch television, including DVRs (digital video recorders). A DVR makes it possible to pause, record and rewind live television. Accessing a DirecTV DVR when shut off is possible, using the DirecTV DVR scheduler found online.

Tips & Warnings
You can also access "Your Guide" to remotely set your DVR by locating the small round orange "R" on the main DirecTV website and clicking on "Visit the Guide for More."
You can also download a "DVR Scheduler Mobile App" for iPhone, Android or Palm smartphones to access and schedule your DirecTV DVR.
If you select "Definitely record" and have two other programs previously scheduled to record at that time, the DVR will record the new program and the next one with the highest priority setting.
