How to Breed Magical Fish in Fish Tycoon
In Fish Tycoon for the PC and Nintendo DS, gamers can breed various species of fish together for unexpected results. Breeding can achieve the seven "magical" fish, each one unleashing a different effect on your tank. For example, the Greenfin Spotanus will shorten the time it takes for fish to lay and hatch eggs. However, to breed magical fish, you'll first need to prepare your tank and learn how to properly breed.

Click on the "Supplies" button at the bottom of the screen. This will take you to the supplies menu where you can purchase tools for your tank, as well as upgrades.

Select "Research Environment" on the right side of the screen. This will cost you 500 dollars per upgrade. Gain money by selling extra fish.

Upgrade your environment until it has maxed out. This will allow your tank to be suitable for magical fish breeding.

Purchase "Rare" and "Unusual Fish Eggs" from the supplies menu. These are more likely to hatch into the fish needed for breeding.

Click on an adult fish within your tank. Hold down your mouse button and drag the fish to the isolation tank at the bottom of the screen. Release the mouse button.

Select another adult fish in your tank and drag it into your isolation tank. The second fish will impregnate your first fish.

Click on the first fish and drag it back into your tank. The pregnant fish will lay eggs after a few hours, which will hatch into your new fish. The type of fish you hatch is dependent upon the two fish you use to breed.

Breed the Twin-Fin Spotanus with the Spined Spotanus to achieve the Greenfin Spotanus, the "Magical Fish of Fertility."

Breed the Orange Grouper with the Twin-Fin Beta to yield the Speckled Leaffish, the "Magical Fish of Sustenance." Combine the Twin-Fin Beta and the Wasp Goldshark for the Crimson Comet, the "Magical Fish of Curing."

Breed the Oriental Goldbulb, the "Magical Fish of Growth," by combining a Crimson Comet with an Orange Goldbulb. Use an Orange Fruitfish and an Orange Snout to achieve the Orange Snooper, the "Magical Fish of Health."

Mix an Orange Beta and a Pink Comet for the Wasp Grouper, the "Magical Fish of Mutation." Breed the Canary Fire-Arrow, the "Golden Guppy of Isola," by combining a Crimson Comet and a Fanned Fatfish.
