How to Repair an NSIS Error

How to Repair an NSIS Error thumbnail
You can bypass NSIS error messages by using the "cmd" shortcut.

An NSIS error may pop up on your computer when you are attempting to download a software program. The error message may say that the file is corrupt, and the software has not passed the "integrity check." This could mean that the software has a virus attached, but it is also likely that your computer is mistaking a file inside the program for a virus. You can repair this NSIS error by directly copying the software program into the Programs folder.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to "Start > Run." Type "cmd" into the search bar and hit "Enter." This will bring up a window with a black background.

    • 2

Drag and drop the software setup .exe file that you want to install. For example, if you are trying to install Yahoo! Messenger, first download the Messenger program, then move the file (msgr10us.exe) into the black window.

    • 3

Hit the spacebar on the keyboard. Type "/NCRC" after the setup file. For example, "msgr10us.exe /NCRC"." Hit "Enter" when you are done, and wait for the program to install.
