Send out Star Wars themed invitations specifying that the party is a Star Wars themed costume party. Be sure to include a telephone number for RSVP's and those with questions in the off chance some guests have not heard of Star Wars.

Decorate the house to make it look like a scene from Star Wars. For instance, you could decorate the room where the party is to be held like any of the night clubs from the movies. Be sure to lay out Star Wars themed table clothes, napkins and paper plates. Also, have some Star Wars music playing for the attendees as they enter the house.

Prepare some Star Wars themed food. For drinks, buy some Sprite and mix it with bright blue, green or red colored gatorade. For snacks, consider making R2D2 shaped cookies. Cakes could be designed in the shape of Jabba the Hut, a Light Saber, or simply covered with action figures acting out a scene.
