How to Update Shockwave Flash Player

Adobe's Shockwave and Flash systems are known as an online game engine, that allows developers to create different types of games for people to play online. To access these games, users need a plugin called a player that installs onto a computer. However, as Shockwave and Flash are modified, new versions of the players must be installed.

Instructions

1. Close any websites that are using Shockwave or Flash files on them.

2. Visit Adobe's Shockwave or Flash site with the browser whose player you want to update. (See Resources.)

3. Click the "Agree and Install" button on the Adobe site to begin updating the plugin.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to update your Adobe player program.
