You'll look well-groomed if you brush your hair, and brushing also distributes oils and helps keep your hair shiny. Follow these tips to choose the right hairbrush for your hair type and style.
Choose a round, bristle brush if you have curly or wavy hair that you blow dry. Remember that the wider the brush, the straighter your hair will be when it dries.

on 8/8/2006 These brushes are great for brushing your hair (after you've washed it and it's dry). Chances are that after washing your hair it's feeling a bit drier than normal. Using a paddle brush will help distribute oil from your roots to the rest of your hair.
A good tip for tangle-prone hair is to use a large toothed comb. When washing your hair, put conditioner in and wash about half of it out. Using the large toothed comb, brush your hair gently. Brushing your hair harshly will cause split ends and tear your hair out. Doing it gently will make your hair so much more manageable when it's dry. Believe me- it works.

on 3/8/2006 For dry, frizzy hair use a natural boar hair pattle brush to finish your hair. The brush picks up the oils in your hair and brings a smooth, shiny look to your hair.

on 11/22/2005 Dryer sheets, Paul Mitchell's hair moisturizer, and water have worked for me. The best brushes so far are by Conair. Always use a comb. I used to use a brush and my hair was damaged. Look in salons, CVS or drugstores, the best products are there! Good luck!

on 11/22/2005 If you want to brush your hair and avoid static in wintertime, run your brush under water first. It's helped me a lot.

on 11/22/2005 Never use a boar brush if your hair is longer than 3". It will tear your hair out, especially when wet. They are designed for smoothing short/curly/afro hair types. Never use them on perms. Medium to long lengths need a paddle or round brush.
