How to Do a 360 on a Skimboard

Plant your hand to start yourself spinning, and then lean into your outside rail to stop after you complete your 360-degree spin.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Ride your skimboard fast with plenty of open space.
Step2
Crouch low, with your balance centered over the board. The lower you crouch, the easier this trick will be (but the taller you stand, the better it will look).
Step3
Touch one hand to the sand. Touch firmly, so that your hand catches for a second, but don't grab hold. This will cause you to start spinning. Whichever side you touch will be the direction you spin toward.
Step4
Let yourself spin 360 degrees. Remain still as you spin.
Step5
Start standing up as you return to a forward riding position. Lean slightly to the side of the board opposite the side your hand touched down on. The rail of your board will catch slightly in the sand and stop you from spinning.
Step6
Stand up and keep riding.

Tips & Warnings

  • Once you're used to it, the spin part of this trick is really easy. The hard part is stopping and straightening out. Try doing it exactly the same way a couple of times in a row to get your timing wired.
  • If you have any condition that would impair or limit your ability to engage in physical activity, please consult a physician before attempting this activity. This information is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice or treatment.

on 11/22/2005 The faster you go the more times you are going to spin. I personally have done a 1440.
