How to Make Costume Wings for a Baby
Costume wings, usually made out of fabric-covered wire, are popular with children of all ages. Unfortunately, store-bought costume wings that are suitable for a baby can be hard to find. Store-bought wings are usually too big and too stiff for a baby to wear comfortably and easily. However, it's easy to make a pair of comfortable baby costume wings at home. By using stiff fabrics and leaving out the wire, any amateur seamstress can make a pair of costume wings suitable for a baby.

Tips & Warnings
For fairy wings, cut the fabric in a jagged "V" shape.
For angel wings, the fabric pieces should be rounded on the top and come to a point at the bottom, like a teardrop shape.
For insect wings, cut circles or ovals of fabric.
For fuller wings, use several layers of fabric.
Other stiff fabrics, such as taffeta, can be used instead of tulle.
