How to Get Rid of Ringworm Spores
Ringworm is a skin disease that is caused by a fungus. The disease affects humans, canines, felines and cattle. Although ringworm is typically not very dangerous, the look of it and the constant itch makes it unpleasant. Ringworm can be treated in various ways. Your primary care physician can prescribe oral medicines to rid you of the fungus. There are also several home remedies that can remove ringworm and its spores.

- Cotton swab
- Iodine
- Grape seed extract
- Bandage
- Sea salt
- Tea tree oil
- Olive oil
- Distilled white vinegar
- Cloth
- Apple cider vinegar
- Clear nail polish
- Dandruff shampoo

Saturate a cotton swab in iodine. Rub the swab on the ringworm once a day until the ringworm is gone.

Rub grape seed extract on the ringworm. Cover with a bandage. Repeat this process once a day until the ringworm clears up.

Sprinkle sea salt over the area. Gently scrub the sea salt and allow to sit for 30 minutes. Rinse the area to remove the sea salt. Alternatively, add sea salt to your bath water and soak the infected area for at least 30 minutes.

Apply a few drops of tea tree oil to the ringworm. If the tea tree oil causes your skin to itch, add a few drops of olive oil to it before application.

Rub distilled white vinegar onto the area a few times a day.

Saturate a soft cloth with apple cider vinegar. Apply the saturated cloth to the ringworm several times a day for 15 minutes.

Apply clear nail polish to the ringworm once a day until the ringworm is gone.

Tips & Warnings
For ringworm in your scalp, wash your hair twice a week with a shampoo containing pyrithione zinc, ketoconazole or selenium sulfide. Dandruff-control shampoos typically have one or more of these ingredients. These shampoos will kill ringworm spores.
Heat will not kill ringworm spores.
