How to Burn Music From LimeWire to a CD

How to Burn Music From LimeWire to a CD thumbnail
You can create audio CDs from your LimeWire music files.

LimeWire is a peer-to-peer file sharing application that was first developed in 2001. This program allows users to designate files to share with other users. You download files from other users' computers. The files shared on LimeWire are typically audio and video files. If you are a LimeWire user, you may want to burn your LimeWire music onto an audio CD to play in a CD player.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn your computer on and open Windows Media Player. Click "Start" and "Windows Media Player."

    • 2

Add your LimeWire folder to your Windows Media Player library. To do this, click the arrow below the "Library" tab and select "Add to Library." Click "Advanced Options" and then click "Add." Browse your computer for the LimeWire folder that is labeled "Saved." By default, this is stored in "Users/Username/Shared."

    • 3

Insert a blank CD into the CD drive of your computer. Close the AutoPlay dialog box if it opens.

    • 4

Click the "Burn" tab at the top of Windows Media Player.

    • 5

Drag the files from your library to the "Burn List." The library is located in the middle pane of Windows Media Player and will now automatically display all of your LimeWire files because you added the LimeWire folder to the Windows Media Player library. The "Burn List" is in the right pane.

    • 6

Click "Start Burn," and the LimeWire music files will be burned onto an audio CD.
