1
Make a cone angel body. The Mountain City Elementary School website features an idea for rolling a half-circle poster board into a cone. Miniaturize this technique with a large (5-by-8 inch) unlined index card. Cut the card into a half-circle. Roll the card and hot glue the seam to create a cone.

2
Embellish the angel body hem. Use hot glue to apply tiny gold plastic beads all around the hem.

3
Construct the angel's arms. Roll a piece of 8 l/2-by-11-inch white paper (copier paper) then tape closed. Flatten the center. Hot glue the center of the paper roll to the back of the angel body. Pull the arms forward, fold downward and hot glue together in front.

4
Add the foam ball to the body to create the angel's head. Use a pencil to poke a hole in a 2-inch foam ball. Hot glue the point of the cone body into the hole. Add eyes by pinning two blue beads with white-headed straight pins into the ball.
-
5
Twist a gold pipe cleaner into a halo. Stick the halo into the top of the head.
-
6
Make wings and ornament loop. Twist two gold pipe cleaners into a bow-tie shape. Hot glue the wings to the back of the cone. Hot glue a ribbon loop to the back of the cone.

7
Wrap a 2-inch square piece of pink or blue fabric around a miniature dollhouse baby (as a blanket). Hot glue the blanket closed. Hot glue the wrapped doll onto the angel arms so that it looks like the angel is holding the baby.
-
8
Personalize the angel ornament. Use squeezable gold glitter fabric paint to write the words, "[Baby's Name]'s First Christmas" and the year around the hem, just above the beads, on the angel's body.
