How to Make Telephone Calls over a PC

When you install MediaRing Talk on your computer, this VOIP software allows you to make free PC-to-phone calls to the United States and eight other global destinations.

Access the home page of MediaRing Talk, and click on "Sign Up Now" under "Computer" to create a free account.

Install MediaRing Talk on your computer. Run the set-up file to initiate the installation process. During the setup, MediaRing Talk will give you the option to configure your audio devices.

Plug the microphone into your computer's microphone jack, which is usually located on the back of the computer.

Test the audio settings to see to make sure that everything is working properly. During the installation process, MediaRing Talk will launch an audio tuning wizard that will help you configure your sound devices. Select the audio device that is connected to your microphone.

Plug the Ethernet cord from your modem or router into your computer. Open your default browser and check to see if you have access to the Internet.

Open the MediaRing Talk and log in with the username and password that you created for your account.

Type the telephone number into the dialing pad, using your keyboard, beginning with the country code. Go to "Tools" and click on "Options" to set the country code.
