How to Put an iPod Into Sleep Mode


The iPod is a simple device to use with minimal controls. Putting iPod into Sleep Mode

  • Pause any music that is currently playing.

  • Press and hold the "Play/Pause" button.

  • Release the "Play/Pause" button after the iPod's screen goes blank. This should take between 5 and 10 seconds.

Tips & Warnings

  • An iPod will continue to use some of the battery power while in sleep mode.
  • You can set your iPod to automatically sleep after a certain amount of time by going into the "Settings" menu.
