How to Remove MSN Messenger From Vista

MSN Messenger, also known as Windows Live Messenger, can be a useful instant messenger program. If you find yourself not using it, however, it could just be wasting precious space on your computer. Unfortunately, MSN Messenger is not a program that comes with its own uninstaller. You must use the old fashioned way to uninstall MSN Messenger on your Windows Vista computer.

Instructions

1. Click the "Start" menu at the bottom of the screen.

2. Click “Control Panel.”

3. Open “Uninstall a program” under the “Programs” option.

4. Find and select “Windows Live Messenger” or “MSN Messenger” from the list of programs.

5. Select “Uninstall.”

6. Confirm that you want to uninstall and allow the program time to perform the task completely. You will see MSN Messenger removed from your folders after it finishes.
