You can reset the settings and content on the device from its Settings menu. You can restart your iPod Touch without a computer using its buttons.
Reset Your iPod Touch's Settings
If you don't have the pass code for your iPod Touch or it displays a message saying it's disabled, you may need to use a computer to reset it.
You can reset your iPod Touch's content and settings through its Settings menu.
Touch the Settings icon on your iPod's home screen.
Touch the General button in the Settings menu.
Touch the Reset button in the General Settings menu.
Touch Reset All Settings to restore your iPod's settings to Apple's defaults, or Erase All Content and Settings to restore settings and also remove all content you added to the device.
Make sure to back up any content you want to save before erasing your iPod Touch.

Reboot a Working iPod Touch
If your iPod Touch is working and responding normally, restart it by shutting it down with the Sleep/Wake button, and then turning it back on.
Press the iPod Touch's Sleep/Wake button and hold it until the Slide to Power Off slider appears.
Slide the slider to turn the iPod off.
Hold the Sleep/Wake button to turn the iPod back on.
Restart a Frozen iPod Touch
If your iPod Touch is frozen and not responding, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until it restarts and displays the Apple logo.
