How to Uninstall a Dell Printer From Windows Vista
If you are no longer using your Dell printer, or using a different printer, uninstalling it from your Windows Vista computer frees up hard disk space and memory. Windows Vista enables you to run multiple printers; however, the more printers that you have installed on your computer, the more likely you could run into printing errors. Uninstalling your Dell printer from Vista is a simple process you can accomplish using the printer management console.

Click the Windows "Start" button, click the "Control Panel," and then click "Hardware and Sound." Locate the "Printers" link and double-click it to launch the printers management window.

Scroll through the printers management window and right-click your Dell printer. Scroll down the pop-up menu and click "Delete."

Right-click the Dell printer if you are having a hard time removing it using the previous step, click "Run as administrator" from the pop-up menu, and then click "Delete." If prompted, type your administrator password, and then click "OK" to remove the printer from your computer.
