Instructions

    • 1

Lay a tarp over the floor where you will be working with the grapevine garland. The garland is essentially long, dried vines, so it may make a mess when you work with it. The tarp catches any fallen twigs.

    • 2

Stand on top of a stepladder and install hooks into the area where you would like to hang the grapevine garland. Space the hooks at 2-foot intervals in order to provide plenty of support.

    • 3

Straighten out the grapevine garlands. They usually come in coils, so they might be a little hard to straighten it at first, but the hooks will ultimately hold the garlands in place.

    • 4

Tie the garland together at 2-foot intervals using wire. This helps the garland keep its elongated shape instead of simply falling apart.

    • 5

Coil the garland before you climb back onto the stepladder. This makes it more compact and easy to manage while you work.

    • 6

Hang the edge of the garland on the first hook. Fit as many of the dried vines into the hook as you can so that it securely holds them in place.

    • 7

Uncoil the garland as you move from hook to hook. Line the hooks up with the batches of wire that lash the vines together. This makes it easier to fit as many vines as you can into the hooks.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you want to add some color into the garland, consider weaving some plastic vines with colorful plastic flowers into the grapevine garland.
