How to Program a Keyless Entry for a Nissan Altima

How to Program a Keyless Entry for a Nissan Altima thumbnail
Program your Altima keyless entry.

The keyless entry system appeared in the Nissan Altima beginning in 1997. Lost or broken remotes often result in large bills at the locksmith or mechanics shop to replace and reprogram a remote. Models made before 2007 are easy for the vehicle owner to program and a replacement remote can be purchased inexpensively at several online retailers. An Altima made after 2007 will require a locksmith to replace the remote since the programming is done with a special machine available only to them.
