How to Soften Patent Leather

Leather has to be conditioned on a regular basis or it can become dry and cracked. Leather conditioner softens patent leather and leaves it looking glossy and new. Natural conditioners are preferable to synthetic conditioners because leathers absorbs them better.

Things You'll Need

• Leather conditioner
• Soft cloth

Instructions

1. Dip a soft cloth into leather conditioner.

2. Rub the cloth in a circular motion onto the leather. Cover all of the leather with conditioner.

3. Let the conditioner set for a minute.

4. Remove any conditioner that isn't absorbed by rubbing it off with the clean end of a cloth.
