How to Choose Clothes that Make You Look Good
Most people want to look good in what they are wearing. We can probably all attest to the fact that when we feel good about how we look, we feel more confident and better about ourselves in general.
Just because clothing looks great on someone else or on display at the store does not mean it will look good on .everyone There are several factors to take in consideration when choosing clothing, makeup or hair color.

Choose your colors according to your skin tone, rather than your hair or eye color. Your skin tone should be your only indicator as to what colors look good on you.
Do not automatically rule out a color until you have checked all the shades within that color. There might be a particular shade in any color range that will suit you well. When in doubt, ask friends for an honest assessment.

Choose a small tweed, instead of checks or large prints, if you are short or small boned. Likewise, small or slender women get lost in heavy materials; choose lightweight materials instead -- light wool in winter, for example.

Choose softer shades instead of harsh, dark colors if you have wrinkles. Softer shades on an older person take away from the harshness of wrinkles and soften one's appearance in general.

Choose your makeup colors according to your skin tones, rather than what colors you are wearing.

Watch out for "men in black." Most men look pale in a stark black suit. If you are one of them, try on several lighter shades, or even charcoal or gray. Be sure to get an honest second opinion. If you already have an all-black suit, liven it up with a shirt and tie in colors that flatter.
