Instructions for Making a Beaded Jesus Fish Key Chain
The Jesus fish is a symbol that represents Christianity. The early Christian church adopted the symbol because fish are often mentioned in the Gospels as a subject of many of Jesus Christ's miracles and many of His parables. Today, Christians use the Jesus fish to remind them of their beliefs. You can make a Jesus fish keychain easily with materials from a craft store.

1
Cut a length of wire that is four to eight inches long, depending on how big you would like the Jesus fish to be.
-
2
Make a knot at the end of the wire so that the beads will not fall off. Trim the excess wire on the other side of the knot.
-
-
3
String the seed beads onto the wire until you reach your desired length. The more beads you string, the larger the finished product will be. Make a small kink at the end of the wire to prevent the beads from slipping.
-
4
Grasp the middle of the beaded section and pull it up to create an up-side-down U shape.
-
5
Push both of the ends together and cross them to form the fish shape.
-
6
Press the area together where the wire crosses and twist it once to secure the cross. This will help you maintain the shape of the fish.
-
7
If the beads are loose on the kinked end, remove the kink and make another knot.
-
8
Twist the un-beaded wire that is connected to the fish around a keychain ring. Then, twist the un-beaded wire around the end of the fish to secure it to the keychain. Make a knot in the wire around the end of the fish and cut the excess wire with the wire cutters.

Tips & Warnings
Bead wire comes in a variety of weights. Choose wire that is thin enough to use the beads you have chosen, but thick enough to hold a shape.
