How to Get Input to Work on a Direct TV Remote for a Sanyo TV

Program your remote control.

With your DirecTV remote control, you can adjust more than just your satellite receiver. This means that if you own a Sanyo television, it is possible to program the TV into your DirecTV remote. Doing so prevents you from using multiple remote controls while watching television. However, if the input option is no longer working on the DirecTV remote, you need to reprogram your Sanyo television into the remote control.

Things You'll Need

• DirecTV remote control
• Sanyo TV

Instructions

1. Power on the Sanyo TV.

2. Point the DirecTV remote control toward the Sanyo television and hold down the "Mute" button. While holding it down, choose "Select." A green light on the top of the remote flashes twice.

3. Type in the code "10154." Push the "Power" button and the Sanyo television should power down. If it does, this means the programming is correct.

4. Repeat the process if the programming does not work. There are a few other Sanyo codes you can use when programming the TV: "10146," "10159," "10799" and "10893."
