How to Delete a Commwarrior Virus in My Cell Phone

The Commwarrior Virus is a type of malware that can infect a user's cell phone. The virus automatically taps into a phone's Bluetooth and messaging application. Once it has compromised the phone, it will either transmit itself to other devices via Bluetooth or access the phone's address book and transmit itself via MMS messaging. Removing the virus is just a matter of tracking down the right files and deleting them from your phone.

Instructions

1. Access the tools option on your cell phone's menu.

2. Select the file manager application. Select the preference to allow you view the files in the system directory.

3. Locate the directory \"c:system\\apps\\commwarrior\" and delete the following files: \"c:\\system\\apps\\commwarrior\\commwarrior.exe\" and \"c:\\system\\apps\\commwarrior\\commrec.mdl.\"

4. Go to the directory \"c:\\system\\updates\" and delete the following files: \"c:\\system\\updates\\commrec.mdl,\" \"c:\\system\\updates\\commw.sis\" and \"c:\\system\\updates\\commwarrior.exe.\"

5. Go the directory \"c:\\system\\recogs\" and delete the file \"c:\\system\\recogs\\commrec.mdl.\"

6. Exit the file manager application.

Tips & Warnings

• Most phones have some form of file manager application built in. Your phone may not specifically refer to it as the \"file manager\" application. If you cannot locate this tool, reference your user manual.

• Do not delete any other files or access other directories. You do not want to inadvertently delete a critical system file from your cell phone's operating system.
