How to Get Free GP on RuneScape

The massively multiplayer online game RuneScape entices players to adventure through the vast wastes, dangerous dungeons and crowded cities of its fantasy game world. Adventuring requires a steady supply of money, however, as most items in the game are either purchased from shops and other players or found by defeating monsters. Shopkeepers in the game refer to this money as "GP," an abbreviation for gold pieces, and these GP are the main currency in the game.

Instructions

  1. Chicken Farming

    • 1

Kill chickens in their coops. Chicken coops are scattered throughout the inhabited areas of RuneScape.

    • 2

Collect the raw chicken and feather items dropped by the defeated chickens.

    • 3

Sell raw chicken and feathers on the Grand Exchange marketplace. Other players constantly are in need of these components to raise their cooking and fletching skill levels.

    Vials of Water

    • 4

Purchase vials from any Herblore shop in the game. Vials cost 5 GP each and can be made far more profitable.

    • 5

Fill your empty vials at bodies of water. The empty vials become vials of water, which are used by players to store herbs for multiple skills.

    • 6

Sell the vials to shopkeepers for twice their empty value or to other players through the Grand Exchange. There is a maximum sale value of 103 GP for vials of water on the Grand Exchange.

    Renting Items

    • 7

Send a message over the chat channels in the Grand Exchange letting other players know what item you are putting up for rent and at what costs. Rental prices commonly are around 5 percent to 10 percent of the item's current market cost, though you may set any desired price.

    • 8

Collect the rental fee from the other player.

    • 9

Open the lending menu and select the item to be lent and the player's name.

    • 10

Select the duration of the rental. The system defaults to "until next log-out," but up to 24 hours may be specified. The item is returned to you at the end of the rental period.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't flood the Grand Exchange with many of the same item. Pace your sales to match the level of activity on the market or you may find yourself dropping the prices of items below their costs.
