How to Put in a Custom Song on Guitar Hero
Although the first three "Guitar Hero" games featured the ability to play back popular music tracks with a peripheral guitar, the most recent iterations (including "Guitar Hero: World Tour" and "Guitar Hero 5") include a "Studio" feature that allows users to create their own songs and share them with the world with "GH Tunes." Although creating your own songs can be time-consuming, it is rewarding if you want to share your music.
Instructions

1
Plug in the instrument peripheral you want to use first when creating your song, and then start up the "Guitar Hero" game of your choice in your console.
-
2
Enter the "Music Studio" mode and then select a template or a tempo and key. If you select a template, a tempo and key will be selected for you depending on the genre you select.
-
-
3
Start playing. You can play at half-time so you can get the timing exactly right, or you can play at double-time if you are composing a song that you want to sound slower. If you make a mistake, you can rewind using the "Start" button and pressing the "Back" button on your instrument.
-
4
Add other instrument tracks. If you have just laid down a sweet baseline, you can add drums or a guitar melody to your song. Note: the Music Studio does not support vocal tracks.
-
5
Add production elements. Both "Guitar Hero: World Tour" and "Guitar Hero 5" feature production sound effects and equalizers that can be used to make your track sound perfect.
-
6
Publish your song. As long as you have a connection to the Internet, you can upload your track, along with your band name and custom album art to the "GH tunes" service.
