How to Register Windows XP Home Edition

If you have a computer that runs on Windows XP, you have the option registering your account. When registered, Windows will send you important information about updates, offers or any problems there may be with the software. This can be done when you first install Windows XP or any time afterward. The entire process only takes a few minutes and the only requirements are an Internet connection and your basic contact information.

Instructions

1. Click on the Start menu and scroll up to "All Programs." Wait for the list of programs to load and click on "Activate Windows" at the very top of the list.

2. Click on the "Yes, let's activate Windows over the Internet now" and click Next to continue

3. Choose the option to activate and register Windows XP and click Next to move on.

4. Fill in your contact information in the desired boxes. You must provide your name and address to move on. Click Next to continue.

5. Click OK on the new window to finalize the registration.
