How to Remove Your Cookies History
Cookies are tiny text files automatically placed on your computer's hard disk by your Web server. Cookies store encrypted information usable only by the site they are serving. They provide information about your computer and the sites you visit to help website owners or administrators maintain and customize their sites. Cookies can be helpful, serving as a convenience for you, too. Some cookies remember usernames and passwords so you don't have to reenter this information every time you access a particular site. There are advantages and disadvantages to keeping cookies. You should occasionally delete cookies on your computer as part of regular computer maintenance.

Open a Web browser page by clicking on your Web browser icon. Many computers have Internet Explorer as a web browser. Use the website in "Resources" for directions for other browsers.

Click to open the "Tools" menu of the browser page and select "Internet Options."

Locate the section titled "Browsing History" in the middle of the "General" tab and click "Delete." The "Delete Browsing History" screen appears.

Make sure the "Cookies" check box is selected, then click on "Delete." Wait while the tool removes the cookies, then click the "OK" button.

Tips & Warnings
Depending on how often you use the computer and how many different sites you access, you might want to delete cookies on a daily basis. Frequent deletion of cookies will cause no harm to your computer.
When cookies are deleted your stored passwords and usernames are deleted, too.
