Crafting a CD Cover
-
1
Gather desired supplies to craft a CD scrapbook cover. Start by purchasing a paper CD sleeve or envelope to use as the base for the card. Pick up any scrapbook embellishments needed, such as ribbons, brads and stickers on top of the scrapbook paper itself.
-
2
Use the ruler to measure the CD envelope and cut the scrapbook paper according to the case's specific shape. It is helpful to attach a square piece of scrapbook paper on the front of the envelope, covering the rectangular side, and attach an irregular-shaped section on the back if the envelope features a traditionally shaped flap. Attach additional scrapbook layers, as desired, for decoration.

Embellish the CD case with desired accessories. In addition to incorporating ribbons and stickers on the front, consider printing a brief explanatory note on plain paper identifying the CD's contents. Attach the note during the design process with double-sided tape or another scrapbook adhesive.

Insert additional information, as desired, on a card that can be placed inside the envelope with the CD or CD-ROM.

Tips & Warnings
A paper CD envelope can be created out of cardstock. Another option is to use a plastic CD case and create a scrapbook insert to slide into the front cover.
Even when using a pre-made CD envelope as your base, be careful to avoid scratching or otherwise damaging the CD or CD-ROM.
