How to Download the Installer for Adobe Flash Player

The installer for the Adobe Flash Player can be downloaded or saved to your system if you are using a Web browser other than Internet Explorer or Firefox. The Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers will install the Adobe Flash Player directly onto your system without giving you the option to download the installer. However, you can download the installer for the program by using a browser such as Google Chrome.

Instructions

1. Double click the icon on your desktop for the Google Chrome Web browser.

2. Go to the Adobe Flash Player download page.

3. Uncheck the box for any additional downloads that are offered. Click the "Agree and Install now" button.

4. Click the "Save" button when the dialog box appears on the screen.

5. Click the down arrow next to the "install_flash_player.exe" file in the lower left corner of the browser and select the "Show in folder" option. This is the location of the saved file on your system.

6. Double click the "install_flash_player.exe" to install the Flash Player to your system. Close any open browser windows that are open if you are prompted to do so.

7. Wait for the Flash Player to be installed on your system.

Tips & Warnings

• Download and install the Google Chrome Web browser if it is not currently installed on your system.

• Copy the installer file to a flash drive to install the Flash Player on other computers.
