How to Fix No Display Problem for LCD TV
LCD (liquid crystal display) TVs are the highest-selling type of flat panel TV in stores, with models available from a number of manufacturers in a wide variety of sizes. They deliver high-quality HD video with the right connections, and although they are designed to be easy to connect and operate, at times you may encounter a glitch or error message. One of those messages is "No Display" (or "No Signal"), which is normally a quick fix.

Connect the component video, HDMI1 or AV1 cable from the component device (such a DVD player) to the appropriate input port on the TV. This port may say "Video IN" on the back of the TV. Ensure that the cable is connected securely at both ends.

Use the remote control's device button(s) to access the menu and select the input through the menu that matches the type of cable input connected to the back of the TV. For example, if you connect the cable to the HDMI1 input port on the back of the TV, selecting anything but the HDMI1 option with the remote control may cause the "No Display" message to appear, which usually means that the TV is not receiving a signal at the connection input you have selected.

Turn the power on to the component you want to view. If the power was off, turning it on will activate the display and replace the "No Display" message.

Test any other connected components at their selected inputs to see that the TV is receiving the video signal properly from those sources.

Check with your cable or satellite provider if their set-top box is the source of the "No Display" message and is powered on, to see if the problem is caused by a disruption in their service. If using an antenna, adjust the antenna and re-scan for available channels.
