Resetting the font to the default size on a computer can be done easily.

Microsoft Windows allows users to customize the look and feel of their desktop. Desktop icons and font sizes can be changed to fit individual needs. File names and application shortcuts can be difficult to read with a small font size. If a user changed the font size of desktop icons and files and wishes to reset the size to the default scale, it can be done from the desktop personalization properties.

Instructions

    • 1

Right-click on any blank area of your desktop, then select and click "Personalize" from the drop-down menu.

    • 2

Click "Adjust Font Size" in the left pane of the Personalization window.

    • 3

Click the "Continue" button on the "Windows needs your permission to continue" popup screen.

    • 4

Select the radial button next to "default scale" and click "OK." To set a custom font size, click the "Custom DPI" button.
