The iPod Nano is smaller than the classic iPod, both in physical size and the size of the hard drive. With a smaller hard drive, you are much more likely to run out of space for your music. An easy solution to this problem is to remove music that you don't regularly listen to and replace it with new music. The process for removing music from an iPod Nano is almost as simple as adding music.
Things You'll Need
- USB cord
- Computer with iTunes
Hook the iPod up to the computer with the USB cord. Open iTunes if it does not open automatically.
Locate the iPod icon directly underneath the Devices section on the left side of iTunes. Click on the little triangle to the left of the iPod to get access to the contents of the iPod.
Click on "Music" and search for the songs you want to remove. Highlight each song that you want to remove.
Open the Edit menu of iTunes and click "Delete" to remove the songs.
