How to Integrate Subwoofers With My Home Stereo
Subwoofers produce low-frequency bass that adds a rich dimension to home theater and stereo systems. Self-powered subs contain built-in amplifiers, so there is no drain on the stereo receiver, which is free to power the other speakers connected to the system. Integrating two subwoofers with a stereo may require an adapter to split the signal, since many receivers are equipped with a single output jack for a sub. Splitting the signal with an adapter makes it simple to connect two subs.
