How to Delete My AOL History From My Computer

When you use the America Online web browser to visit sites on the Internet, the AOL browser automatically takes note of the the web pages you visit and keeps a history of them. America Online itself does not have access to this information, as it is stored on your computer. You can clear this information from your computer if you are concerned that someone else may find it.

Instructions

1. Click on the "AOL" icon on your desktop to open your browser window.

2. Click on the "Security" menu at the top of the browser page. A list will open beneath the menu.

3. Click on "Clear My Footprints." A new window will open.

4. Click on the "Clear Footprints" button and click "OK."

• Press "Ctrl-H" to view your browsing history.
