How to Install Netzero DSL
If you are a new Netzero DSL customer, you'll need to install the hardware and software before you can surf the Web. Netzero provides its customers with all the hardware and software necessary to be up and running in no time, with no additional tools required.

Insert the Netzero installation CD provided by Netzero in its broadband installation kit into your CD-ROM drive. The software will load automatically. Follow the on-screen instructions for proper installation.

Locate a phone jack in close proximity to where your modem will be placed to install the phone filter.

Plug the phone filter into the phone jack. The phone filter will have two inputs on: a phone port and a DSL port.

Insert the DSL phone cable into the port on the phone filter labeled "DSL."

Install phone filters on all other phone jacks in the house that are in use by phones, fax machines or modems. Insert the device phone cables that were previously inserted in the phone jack into the port on the phone filter labeled "phone."

Plug the phone cord from your modem into the port labeled "DSL" on the phone filter.

Connect your computer to the modem using the provided Ethernet cable. Both the modem and your computer's Ethernet ports will be on rear of the case.

Plug the modem's AC adapter into the wall to power on the unit.

Look at the indicator lights on the front of the modem. If the "Power" and "Ethernet" lights are both green, then the modem is online and ready to use.

Tips & Warnings
The software must be installed before using the modem. If the software is not installed, the "Ethernet" light on the front of the unit will not illuminate green.
