Wrap a brick in two sheets of newspaper to cover the rough surface and corners. Wrap again with party paper appropriate for the occasion. Use ribbon and a bow to make the brick look like a present. Tie several balloons around the brick, staggering the height of the balloons. Use tape under the brick to ensure the strings stay in place. Use as a centerpiece on the party table.

Assemble a cleaning bucket filled with useful items for a new homeowner. Wrap kitchen items such as a potato peeler, measuring spoons and a can opener to fill the bucket. Tie the balloons around the handle and use as a centerpiece that can also be given as a gift.

Purchase metallic paper from a crafts store. Lay the paper on a flat surface and pour about ½-cup of sand onto the center of the paper. Gather the edges of the paper up and twist the paper so the sand is secured inside the paper. Cut a piece of ribbon about 1-foot in length and tie tightly around the twisted paper. Tie the balloon to the same place.

4
Tie balloon strings around the neck (below the cap) of children’s bubble bottles. Use as a parting party gift for a child’s birthday party.

5
Purchase pointed party hats, the types of hats worn for New Year's or birthday parties. Cut the tip off the party hat and push the balloon string through the hole. Tie the string to a heavy nut and place the hats on the party table or other locations around the room.
