How to Sync Pictures to an iPod
Owning an iPod lets you carry around your music and video collection. You can also use the iPod Nano, iPod Touch and iPod Classic to store and transport your photos. Syncing photos to one of these iPods is easy and takes just a few moments.
Things You'll Need
- iPod Nano, iPod Touch or iPod Classic
- Computer
- iTunes software
- USB iPod cable

Syncing With a Mac

Connect your iPod to your computer via the USB cable.

Open iTunes.

Click on the iPod icon that appears in the left panel of iTunes.

Click the "Photos" tab that appears at the top of the main iTunes window.

Check the box called "Sync photos from" and choose the location of your photos (iPhoto, Aperture, Pictures or choose a specific folder).

Select "All photos and albums" if you want to copy all of your photos to your iPod. Select "Selected albums" if you only want to copy a limited number of photos from your collection.

Click "Apply."

Click the "Sync" button to sync the photos to your iPod.
Syncing With a Windows PC

Connect your iPod to your computer via the USB cable.

Open iTunes.

Click on the iPod icon that appears in the left panel of iTunes.

Click the "Photos" tab that appears at the top of the main iTunes window.

Check the "Sync photos from" box and select the location of your photos (My Pictures, Choose Folder, Adobe Photoshop Album or Adobe Photoshop Elements).

Select "All photos and albums" to sync all of your pictures. Or choose "Selected folders" to specify which pictures you want to transfer to your iPod.

Click "Apply."

Click the "Sync" button to sync the photos to your iPod.

Tips & Warnings
If you want to sync a full-resolution copy of your photos, enable your iPod for disk use and then check the box that says "Include full-resolution photos."
