Set the size of the document to 4 inches by 6 inches. Change the size as desired, but make sure it is smaller than the paper you are going to use for printing.

    • 3

Select the text tool and choose the font, style and color you want to use from the menu at the top of the page.

    • 4

Type an invitational greeting, at the top of the document, such as "Please Join Us for [Baby's Name] First Birthday" or "You Are Invited to a First Birthday Party."

    • 5

Click the clip art icon at the top of the page to insert a preinstalled image. Position the image where you like. Consider using birthday-themed clip art such as balloons or a birthday cake. You could also use images of toys like trains, stuffed animals or miniature cars.

    • 6

Select the text tool and type the party information below the clip art image. Include the date and time, the location and RSVP contacts in the party information.

    • 7

Place several sheets of card stock in to the printer. Using white card stock will produce the best colored images, however, if your clip art image is black and white, consider using card stock in various pastel colors like sky blue, sage green or muted yellow.

Click the printer icon at the top of your design software. Select the number of invitations you want to print and click "OK" to print your invitations on to the card stock. Use a paper cutter to cut the excess paper away from the printed invitation.
