      In Internet Explorer 4 and up, click "Tools > Internet Options."

      Select the "Advanced" tab then scroll down to check the box next to "Java (Sun)."

      In the "Security" tab select the "Custom level" button. Scroll down to "Scripting of Java applets" and make sure "Enable" is checked. Click "OK" to save the changes before restarting Internet Explorer.

      In Firefox version 0.8 and up on a PC select "Tools > Options > Web Features > Enable Java." Click "OK" and restart Firefox.

      On a Mac select "Firefox > Preferences" and go to the "Content" tab. Make sure "Enable Java" and "Enable javascript" are checked. Close the preferences box and restart Firefox.

      In Safari click "Safari > Preferences," select the "Security" tab and make sure the "Enable Java" and "Enable javascript" boxes are checked. Close the window and restart Safari.
