How to Remove Mustard Stains From Fabric

Chocolate, ketchup and marinara sauce are all foods that can leave permanent stains on a shirt. Mustard is another condiment that can leave an unsightly stain. When dealing with food stains like mustard, it's important to use a stain remover that is effective but gentle on clothes.

Things You'll Need

• 3/4 cup liquid dish soap
• 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol
• Paper towels
• Hot water
• Laundry detergent
• Bowl
• Spoon

Instructions

1. Pour 3/4 cup liquid dish soap into a bowl.

2. Add 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol to the soap.

3. Mix the ingredients together with a spoon.

4. Place a couple of paper towels directly underneath the stain.

5. Pour the mixture onto the stain, and let it sit there for 10 minutes.

6. Rinse the soap out with hot water.

7. Put the stained fabric into the washing machine and wash it with laundry detergent.

8. Let the fabric dry outside. Repeat these steps if the stain remains.
