How to Get Rid of Dog Odor in a Basement

Dogs are lovable, loyal and playful animals that come in all different shapes, styles and colors. They even have instincts to protect the ones they love. However, dogs have odors from the oils in their skin and the outdoors. It is simple to get rid of pet odors with a bit of daily attention to the rooms that your dog frequents, which often includes the basement.

Things You'll Need

• Spray bottle
• 1 cup white vinegar
• 2 cups of warm water
• 20 drops of essential oil (optional)

Instructions

1. Mix 1 cup of white vinegar for every 2 cups of warm water into a spray bottle. Add essential oils, if desired. Essential oils have the ability to elevate moods and bring a refreshing scent to the room. Choose one or more oils, depending on the kind of scent you want to spray through the basement.

2. Spray the mixture through the air and on all furniture and flooring in the basement.

3. Repeat every four hours the first day. Spray two times the second day and once daily after that.
