Downloading music to the iTunes jukebox is done through the iTunes Store, a virtual portal through which you can access digital versions of millions of songs. The iTunes jukebox, or just "iTunes," is a music management program. The iTunes Store is a media service within that program. Once you have set up an account with Apple, you can purchase and download an unlimited amount of music from the iTunes Store, which will store the music on your computer for instant playback in iTunes.

      Launch the iTunes jukebox.

      Click "iTunes Store" in the left menu bar.

      Click "Sign In" at upper-right and enter your Apple account username and password. If you do not have an Apple account, click "Create New Account" and follow the account creation wizard.

      Browse for music you want to download to your iTunes jukebox. Click "Browse" in the upper-right menu and select "Music" under the "iTunes Store" menu. Then select a genre, subgenre, artist, and finally an album.

      Click "Buy Song" to instantly purchase and download a track from the album. The track will automatically be added to your iTunes jukebox.

      Search for specific genres, subgenres, artists or albums at any time by typing them into the search box at upper-right. They will be displayed in iTunes. Download desired tracks as in Step 5.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some music is free to download from the iTunes Store. From the main window of the iTunes Store homepage in the iTunes jukebox, scroll down until you see "Free On iTunes." Click "See All" to browse free music and other media.

  • Once you have added your credit card to your Apple account, your purchase will be made instantly and charged to your card.
