How to Remove Bad Carpet Stains Without Using a Shampooer
Liquids, ink and pets can leave bad carpet stains. Shampooers and cleaning machines can lift a bad stain, but they are costly and contain harsh chemicals. It's possible to use common household products as a stain remover. It's important to test homemade cleaners on a small piece of the carpet. If the homemade stain remover bleaches or stains the carpet, do not use it on the stain. Does this Spark an idea?

Place a couple of paper towels on top of the stain. Press down on the paper towels, but do not rub them into the stain.

Remove the paper towel, and pour club soda onto the stain. Use just enough club soda to cover the stain. Wait a few minutes so the club soda can soak into the stain.

Place a few dry paper towels on top of the stain. Press down on the paper towels to soak up the moisture.

Pour water onto the stain and dry it with a paper towel.

Pour hydrogen peroxide onto the stain if the club soda doesn't work. Pour just enough peroxide to cover the stain. Let the hydrogen peroxide seep into the stain for a few minutes.

Wash the peroxide off the same way you did the club soda.
