How to Tell if a Chanel Handbag Is Real
Chanel handbags are highly sought after. The bags are very expensive, and have many knockoffs available on the market. Fortunately, the knockoffs that exist do not compare with the high quality of authentic purses. You can spot the counterfeit bags with a careful inspection. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Inspect the logo on the purse. A Chanel logo has two "C"s that face away from each other on the purse. The "Cs" actually bisect each other at the top.
-
2
Inspect the zippers on the Chanel purses. They will have the name "Chanel" engraved on one side and the Chanel logo on the other side.
-
-
3
Locate the authenticity card in the purse. Authentic Chanel purses will always have an authenticity card with a serial number. The card has the serial number embossed, which is a sign to look for if someone has printed a fake authenticity card.
-
4
Find a serial number inside the purse. The serial numbers on purses made in the late 1990s were printed on white stickers with the logo across the background; they currently are printed on white stickers with two Chanel logos. Typically, the serial numbers are located on the lower-left corner of the bag or on the zipper pocket.
-
5
Examine the strap on the purse. The strap will have the logo or Chanel name engraved on the hardware to prove authenticity.
