Pine cones provide a distinctive flair for wedding decorations, with the added advantage of being easy to find and, depending on where you live, possibly available for free. Instructions

    • 1

Cover a work surface in a well-ventilated area with newspaper. Spray paint the pine cones silver, making sure to spray them from every angle. Leave some pine cones unpainted or partially painted if desired. Let the paint dry thoroughly.

    • 2

Pour a layer of artificial snow into the bottom of the vase.

    • 3

Arrange pine cones inside the vase. Sprinkle cranberries on top of a few pine cones. Arrange sprigs or small branches of pine foliage between or around the pine cones.

    • 4

Arrange an attractive pile of pine foliage, pine cones, artificial snow and cranberries around the outside of the vase to create a more bountiful effect, or skip this step for an elegantly self-contained centerpiece that is easier to transport and clean up.
