Superhero Puppets
-
1
Draw superheroes that are both well known and of your own invention on cardboard using markers. Thin cardboard is ideal, such as the kind used to make cereal boxes. Superheroes figures should be 5 inches to 6 inches tall.
-
2
Cut out the superheroes you have drawn. Make two superheroes for every guest at the party so that children can make their puppets interact.
-
-
3
Tape the superheroes to Popsicle sticks. Hand out these homemade superhero puppets to guests as party favors. Children can hold onto the Popsicle sticks, using them to command the puppets and play superhero games throughout the party.
Superhero Capes
-
4
Cut fabric into the shape of a cape, using about one yard per guest. Capes should be wide at the base and taper higher up where they attach at the shoulders. Cut out one cape for each guest.
-
5
Use strips of scrap fabric as ties for the capes. Sew one strip of fabric on each side of the upper portion of each cape so that children can tie them around their shoulders. Hand out the capes as party favors at the beginning of the parry.
-
6
Provide fabric markers for guests and help children decorate their capes as a party activity. Allow children to wear decorated, homemade capes throughout the party so that they can emulate superheroes.
