Instructions

    • 1

Cut the tulle in half. You want to create two separate one-yard pieces. Next, twist the tulle pieces around the wire on the toque shape. Glue the ends of the tulle on the toque. Make sure it fluffs around the wire.

    • 2

Push the extra fabric from the tulle inside the hat. Glue the pieces of fabric into place. If you wish, you can create a veil from the extra tulle fabric. To do this, you will cut a piece to the length you want and hot-glue it around the brim.

    • 3

Hot-glue the medium ribbon around the hat. Make sure you create a smooth surface on the hat. You do not want wrinkles in your fabric. Use extra fabric from the ribbon to create a bow or tie it into a bow.

    • 4

Place the fake flowers around the hat. To do this, you can glue the flowers around the wire toque in any way you choose. Choose one flower at a time, and create a pattern around the hat.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not let children assist with a glue gun, which reaches hot temperatures.

  • You can embellish the hat with extra accessories such as birds or cherries.
