      Fill the tea kettle 1/2 full with water.

      Add at least 1/4 cup of vinegar to the water. You may add more vinegar if your kettle has not been cleaned recently or if there is significant lime deposit buildup.

      Boil the water mixture for several minutes or until the lime deposits have dissolved.

      Pour the water mixture out of the tea kettle and wipe the inside with a wet sponge.
