1
Place the head cap over the hair, covering the ears and hair line.
-
2
Fold the square scarf in half to form a triangle. Place the triangle over the head, so that one point extends down the back, and the fold is along the face line. Leave two inches of the head cap showing.

3
Take one safety pin and secure the two ends of the cloth together under the chin. It shouldn't restrict facial or neck movement, but it should be tight enough that the scarf is secure.
-
4
Take the underside of one of the sides of the scarf and open up the fold so that there's a triangle formed as you pull the cloth to one side. When a nice fall has been achieved, pin this piece of the scarf to the shoulder of the shirt or dress with the other safety pin.
-
5
Take the other side of the scarf, with the fold still closed, and draw it across the chest, over the scarf already pinned. Pin this side of the scarf to the opposite shoulder with the decorative brooch. Leave the end of the scarf falling down the back of the shoulder.

Tips & Warnings
You can buy specially made head caps, usually sewn with soft, stretchy material and decorated with embroidery and other embellishments.
A light georgette cloth is good for this style of hijab, especially since the cloth is doubled over.
Make sure that you do not prick yourself with the pins as you are pinning the scarf.
