3
Remove the soap from the pot and place it in a bowl.

4
Add food coloring to the soap and stir it until the soap is the color that you are striving for. When choosing a color for the soap, use the favorite color of the child who you are making soap for.
-
5
Fill ice cube trays with the colored soap. Use trays that are shapes that the child will like, such as hearts and stars.
-
6
Heat the filled ice cube trays in the microwave for 15 minutes. This will help the soap dry out. Make sure the microwave is set to low heat.
-
7
Set the ice cube trays on the counter for 3 days so the soap can completely dry.
-
8
Remove the soap from the ice cube trays by turning the trays over.
-
9
Put the soaps onto wax paper and let them sit for another day before giving them to the child.

Tips & Warnings
If you are using the same measuring cup that you used for the water, wipe it dry first or the soap flakes will stick to the sides of the measuring cup.
